Det nuværende Fritidscenter startede i 1977 som en simpel sportshal, hvis tegninger var baseret på en nyopført landbrugsbygning, som byens håndboldspillere havde fået øje på, på vej til en kamp. Først i 1985 blev sportshallen udvidet med svømmehal og bibliotek, efter et stærkt ønske i byen om at skabe et samlingspunkt for alle. Der manglede der alligevel en del fritids- og idrætslokaler plus mødelokaler. I løbet af 2 – 3 år samlede byens foreninger 10 millioner kroner ind til formålet. I 2007 blev det udbyggede Fritidscenter indviet.
Alligevel savnede byen stadig noget: Et stort loftsrum blev indrettet til klublokale til byens børn og unge, igen finansieret lokalt. Cafeteriet blev samtidigt moderniseret og fik en særlig sund profil. Sidst, i 2015, blev biblioteket også moderniseret. Det blev fejret sammen med afsløringen af Vorbasse Frisen, der hænger ved indgangen til biblioteket.
The present Activity Center started in 1977 as a simple sports hall designed after a newly built farm building, which the village handball players had caught sight of on their way to a match. In 1985 it was extended to include swimming baths and a library to accord with a general desire in the village to create a common meeting place. The village still lacked facilities for sports- and spare time facilities, as well as meeting rooms. In the course of a year or two, village associations collected well over 1 million Euros for the building. The greatly extended Activity Center was inaugurated in 2007.
The village needed something extra for the young, so a large attic was equipped as a clubroom for the young people of the area, again using local funds. At the same time, the cafeteria was modernized and given a specially healthy profile. Finally, in 2015, the library was given a huge face-lift. The inauguration was celebrated together with the unveiling of the Vorbasse Frieze hanging at the library entrance.
